Did you know even the famous can suffer from diseases such as cancer? Psychology’s very own Sigmund Frued developed a oral cancer after years of nicotine addiction. He was said to have smoked around 20 cigars daily. At 67 years old Frued developed a growth in his mouth that was said to be cancer of the soft palate. He eventually had sugery and at 73 he finally stopped smoking cigars. Unfortunatly, that only lasted for about three weeks, then Frued was back to his bad habbit. Frued did live until the age of 83, when he died of oral cancer. Maybe it was his strong will to fight that kept him alive for so long. This is just another example of how cancer can attack anyone.
